Man charged with second-degree rape

AMSTERDAM — The New York State Police in Mayfield arrested 26-year-old Depree Faulks of Amsterdam for second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child subsequent to allegedly having sexual relations with a 14-year-old female.

Faulks was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on no bail.

Woman charged with taking drugs

GLOVERSVILLE — Cheyenne M. Lehr, 20, of 126 County Highway 112, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance by city police on Aug. 7 at 5:16 p.m.

City police were dispatched to the area of 16 Addison St. for a report of a female sitting in her vehicle doing drugs. Officers responded to that location and found a female, later identified as Lehr, sitting in her vehicle. During the course of investigation, police found that Lehr was in possession of a controlled substance.

Lehr was taken into custody and transported to the station where she was processed and issued an appearance to return to City Court at a later date.

Man charged with imprisonment

GLOVERSVILLE — Brandon S. Polak, 23, of 28 Wilson St., was charged with unlawful imprisonment and third-degree attempted assault by city police on Aug. 24 at 10:10 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to Polak’s address on a report of a female being held against her will. Police interviewed the female victim who stated Polak had taken her cell phone and would not leave the residence. The victim also stated that while attempting to leave, Polak caused her physical injury.

Polak was taken into custody and transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment.

Man strikes woman in front of child

GLOVERSVILLE — Anthony J. Gordon, 57, of 34 S. Main St., was charged with third-degree attempted assault and endangering the welfare of a child by city police on Aug. 25 at 12:45 p.m.

Gordon was taken into custody after an investigation revealed he struck a female victim and threw her to the ground while her child was present.

Gordon was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment.

Woman allegedly had crack pipe

GLOVERSVILLE — Breanne McGowan, 39, of Bliss Road, Stratford, was taken into custody by city police on an active bench warrant and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 26 at 10:22 p.m.

McGowan was located during a suspicious vehicle complaint and arrested on a bench warrant issued for failure to appear after she was ticketed for aggravated unlicensed operation.

McGowan was taken into custody and transported to the station for processing, during which she was found to be in possession of a crack pipe with trace amounts of crack cocaine.

McGowan was processed and held for arraignment.
