Man allegedly steals gas from garage

MOHAWK — Brandon D. Beaird, 45, of South Green Road, Charleston was charged on Sunday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Beaird allegedly entered a garage and stole gasoline.

He was arraigned in town court and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail and $20,000 bail bond.

Man taken in on county warrant

Rush

AMSTERDAM — Richard Perez-Santiago, 25, of 34 Glen Avenue, was charged on Thursday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on a county court warrant.

Perez-Santiago was processed at Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and held for county court.

Man violates order of protection

GLOVERSVILLE — Emory L. Ostrander, 48, of 69 W. Fulton St., was charged with third-degree criminal contempt by city police on Aug. 14 at 4:03 p.m.

Ostrander was taken into custody following a domestic violence investigation, during which police learned Ostrander violated an active stay away order of protection issued out of City Court by going to a residence and contacting a female victim.

Ostrander was processed and held for arraignment.

Man allegedly assaults victim

GLOVERSVILLE — Troy S. Rush, 53, of 301 N. Main St., was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment by city police on Monday at 1:42 a.m.

Officers responded to a 911 hang up call at Rush’s address, during the course of investigation police learned that Rush assaulted a female victim and held her against her will.

Rush was taken into custody, transported to the station and held for arraignment.

Woman charged with welfare fraud

AMSTERDAM — Kimberly A. Cromp, 38, of Fultonville, was charged by state police on Aug. 14 with first-degree filing a false instrument with intent to defraud and third-degree welfare fraud for an incident which occurred Aug. 8.

Man charged with damaging property

PERTH — James A. Murray, 55, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on Aug. 14 with criminal mischief with intent to damage property.

Driver charged with drunk driving

SCHOHARIE — Trevor S. Cummings, 28, of Esperance was charged by state police on Aug. 15 with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.
