Inmate released from prison, arrested

JOHNSTOWN — Raquawn H. Garcia, 22, of 119 Washington St., was charged by city police at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police said he was charged at the Willard Correctional Facility in Willard on a warrant out of Johnstown City Court after being released from the facility. Police said Garcia allegedly used a stolen debit card to make purchases totalling $248.77 in three different businesses in the city between May 15 through 19, 2017.

Garcia was arraigned and held to face further action in City Court.

Driver charged with being unlicensed

JOHNSTOWN — Michael T. Smith, 58, of 36 Fox St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday with one misdemeanor count of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Police said Smith was charged after a vehicle stop on South Market Street.

He was arraigned and will appear later in City Court.

Woman violates order of protection

JOHNSTOWN — Yasha M. Husain, 44, of 16 North East Ave., Apartment D20, was charged by city police at 8:22 p.m. Aug. 5 with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.

Police said she was charged at home after she allegedly violated a valid Fulton County Family Court Order of Protection while at the residence.

Husain was arraigned and released to appear later in City Court.

Bad headlights leads to no license charge

JOHNSTOWN — John A. Gonzalez II, 23, of 33 Summit Ave., Amsterdam, was charged by city police at 1:10 a.m. Aug. 5 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and insufficient headlamp, a violation.

Police said he was charged after a vehicle stop on North Comrie Avenue.

He will appear later in City Court.

Woman charged with having drugs

JOHNSTOWN — Brittany L. Bochenek, 21, of 26 Prospect Ave., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 10:47 p.m. Aug. 4 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Police said she was charged while on a vehicle stop on South Comrie Avenue.

Police said Bochenek allegedly possessed .57 grams of cocaine and 19.72 grams of marijuana.

She will appear later in City Court.

Man allegedly points BB gun at victim

JOHNSTOWN — Douglas W. Robinson, 74, of 7 Smith St., was charged by city police at 3:08 p.m. Aug. 4 with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.

Police said he was charged at 9 Smith St. after he allegedly cocked and pointed a loaded BB, gun at a victim and threatened to shoot him.

Robinson will appear later in City Court.

Driver charged with unlicensed driving

JOHNSTOWN — Jeremi M. Ferguson, 29, of 6 E. Clinton St., was charged by city police at 7:34 p.m. Aug. 3 with one misdemeanor count of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Police said the suspect was charged after a vehicle stop on South Comrie Avenue.

Ferguson will appear later in City Court.
