Cops: Alderman solicited a prostitute

GLENVILLE — Amsterdam’s 4th Ward alderman Rodney M. Wojnar, 63, of Amsterdam, was charged by state police on Friday with one count of third-degree patronizing a prostitute for an incident which occurred on June 15.

Wojnar was processed and issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Glenville Town Court on Aug. 28 at 5:30 p.m.

Traffic stop leads to pot possession charge

MAYFIELD — Michael K. LaGrange, 46, of Johnstown was charged by state police on Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana.

PERTH – Ryan P. Schotts, 39, of Broadalbin was charged by state police on Friday with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

Charge of 2nd-degree harassment lodged

PALATINE BRIDGE — Dayton C. Beck, 62, of Palatine Brindge was charged with second-degree harassment with physical contact on Saturday. He was arraigned and released in his own recognizance.

Unsafe lane change leads to DWI charge

AMSTERDAM — State police charged Garret M. Anthony, 28, of Amsterdam with moving from a lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher on Sunday.

Driver charged on Sunday with DWI.

MAYFIELD — On Sunday, state police charged Derrick A. Mathews, 32, of Fort Plain with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

Man charged with having marijuana

JOHNSTOWN — Michael E. Budka, 21, of Gloversville was charged by state police on July 27 with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Woman charged with criminal mischief

MAYFIELD — Holly A. Hoyt, 49, of Gloversville, was charged by state police on Sunday with criminal mischief with intent to damage property.
