Driver charged for speeding, possession

AMSTERDAM — Donald T. Leno, 20, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Tuesday with speeding in a posted zone and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Area woman arrested on disorderly conduct

GLOVERSVILLE — Victoria L. Chenelle, 57, of 1 Mill St., was charged with disorderly conduct by city police on July 27 at 10:50 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to 1 Mill St. for a possible assault. Upon arrival, police observed Chenelle striking several people with a cane.

Chenelle was taken into custody and transported to the station where she was issued an appearance ticket to appear in City Court at a later date.

Vehicle complaint leads to felony DWI

GLOVERSVILLE–Christina L. Wilson, 32, of 189 Spring St., was charged with a felony for driving while intoxicated by city police on July 27 at 5:31 a.m.

Officers responded to a vehicle complaint and located the vehicle on Forest Street. Police said they interviewed Wilson who admitted to driving after drinking. A field sobriety test was administered and yielded positive results for DWI. During the investigation police learned that a child had been present in the vehicle operated by Wilson.

Wilson was taken into custody and transported to the station where she was processed and held for arraignment.

Assault charges filed after domestic incident

GLOVERSVILLE — John E. Kane, 40, was charged with third-degree assault and first-degree criminal contempt by city police on July 27 at 5:20 a.m.

Officers responded to a domestic incident and upon arrival learned that Kane and the victim were in an altercation during which Kane allegedly struck the victim. During the investigation it was learned that the victim had an order of protection against Kane.

Kane was taken into custody and transported to the station where he was held for arraignment.

Local man arrested for harassment

GLOVERSVILLE — Timothy P. Mcspirit, 33, of East Pine Street, was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt by city police on July 30 at 7:40 p.m.

Officers responded to Grand Street for a report of a domestic violence incident on July 26 at 6 p.m. Upon arrival, police made contact with a female victim who stated that she was harassed by her ex-boyfriend, Mcspirit, on Bleecker Street. During the course of investigation, officers learned the victim had an order of protection against Mcspirit.

Mcspirit was taken into custody, processed and held for arraignment.

Trespassing violation filed against local man

GLOVERSVILLE — Joshua J. Coadney, 41, was charged with a violation for trespassing by city police on Wednesday at 3:25 p.m.

Coadney was found to be in the city police department employee parking lot. Coadney was advised to leave the area and was taken into custody for trespassing when he refused.

Coadney was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to City Court.

Man arrested for failure to appear

AMSTERDAM — Edward H. Key, 24, of Amsterdam was arrested by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday for failure to appear.

He was released on cash bail paid following his arraignment in Amsterdam Town Court.
