Traffic stop leads to driving drunk charge

AMSTERDAM — William Abbondandolo, 54, of 5 Dean St., was charged on July 15, by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for driving while intoxicated. Abbondandolo was released on an appearance ticket.

Driver charged with suspended registration

AMSTERDAM — Loral Duckwald, 70, of 780 Upper Greg Road, Pattersonville was charged on Monday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for a suspended registration. Duckwald was released on an appearance ticket.

Failure to appear leads to warrant

GLOVERSVILLE — Nathaniel G. Coty, 36, of 7 Allen St. Apartment 2, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on July 17 at 2:20 p.m.

The bench warrant was issued by City Court for failure to appear on a previous littering violation.

Coty was processed and held for arraignment.

Warrant arrest leads to marijuana charge

GLOVERSVILLE — Jonathan A. Chatman, 27, of 12 North St. Apartment 2, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Saturday at 9:25 p.m.

Officers responded to a complaint at 12 North St. During the course of investigation it was determined that Chatman had an active bench warrant and was taken into custody. Chatman was also found to be in possession of marijuana at the time of the arrest according to police.

Chatman was processed for unlawful possession of marijuana and then released to state police on the bench warrant.

Driver charged with felony DWI

GLOVERSVILLE — David E. Boyd, 37, of 466 McQueen Rd., was charged with felony driving while intoxicated by city police on Saturday at 2:27 a.m.

While on patrol, city police observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Thompson Avenue and East Fulton Street. Officers conducted a vehicle stop on South Kingsboro Avenue and identified Boyd as the driver.

During the course of investigation, officers had reason to believe that Boyd may have been driving under the influence and conducted a field sobriety test that yielded positive results for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Police found Boyd had a prior DWI conviction within the past 10 years, making the current DWI a felony.

Boyd was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment.

No taillight results in DWI charges

GLOVERSVILLE — Greg E. Avery, 31, of 40 Briggs St., Johnstown, was charged with driving while intoxicated and no/inadequate taillight by city police on Saturday at 4:23 a.m.

While on patrol officers observed a vehicle with a broken taillight and conducted a vehicle stop. Police identified Avery as the driver and after smelling alcohol coming from his person conducted a field sobriety test that yielded positive results for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Avery was transported to the station and processed.

Resident charged with open container

GLOVERSVILLE — Gary E. Walker, 34, of 9 Byard St. Apt. 2, was charged with an open container violation by city police on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

Walker was taken into custody by city police when he was found to be in possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage in the area of the Rail Trail between North Main Street and Foster Street.

Walker was issued an appearance ticket returnable in City Court.
