Man allegedly had child pornography

AMSTERDAM — The state police in Fonda arrested 32-year-old Kyle F. Korona of Amsterdam for possession of a sexual performance of a child less than 16 years of age and promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age on Thursday.

A search warrant was conducted on Korona’s residence and several computers were seized as a result.

Korona was arraigned in Amsterdam Town Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bail bond.

Man charged with DWI after stop

JOHNSTOWN — Conner A. Hoyt, 22, of 405 N. Main St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 3:23 a.m. June 23 with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, and failure to use designated lane, speed not reasonable and prudent and failure to stop for a stop sign, all violations.

Police said Hoyt was heading west on West Green Street before his vehicle struck a stop sign, then crossed over West Stare Street. The driver then turned the steering wheel in the opposite direction and his vehicle went off an embankment before coming to rest on a building, police said. He was charged on West State Street.

Hoyt will appear later in City Court.

Several vehicle infractions alleged

JOHNSTOWN — Kathleen L. Stuart, 48, of 56 E. Pine St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 12:50 a.m. June 22 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and unlicensed driver and uninspected motor vehicle, both violations.

Police said Stuart was charged on North Perry Street after a vehicle stop.

She will appear later in City Court.
