Woman charged with writing bad checks

FONDA — Jasmine Tirado, 27, of Amsterdam, was charged by state police at Fonda on Monday for third-degree grand larceny and second-degree forgery.

Tirado allegedly deposited fraudulent checks into her bank account and purchased merchandise from Walmart with those funds. She was processed and released to appear in court at a later date.

Passenger charged with having drugs

GLOVERSVILLE — Katrina P. Dwight, 38, of 197 Old Peck Hill Road, was charged by city police at 3:51 p.m. Friday with felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count for unlawful possession of marijuana.

City police said she was charged following a traffic stop on West Fulton Street. During the stop officers said they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Dwight, a passenger in the car, allegedly turned over 3.5 grams of marijuana when questioned. During the course of investigation police allegedly found Dwight was also in possession of 8.1 grams of cocaine.

Dwight was arrested, processed and held for arraignment.

Two arrested for alleged drug sales

GLOVERSVILLE — Ernest McMikle, 31, and Sadieanna Bayless, 20, of 12 Park St. Apartment 2, and Olivia Sanders, 22, of 12 Park St. Apartment 1, were taken into custody by city police Friday following the execution of a search warrant based on the suspected sale of narcotics within both apartments.

McMikle and Bayless were charged with violations for unlawful possession of marijuana. Sanders was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and a violation for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police allegedly located 10.2 grams of marijuana and $620 in the apartment of McMikle and Bayless while carrying out the search warrant. Police allegedly located over 30 grams of cocaine, 12.4 grams of marijuana and $7,966 in Sanders’ apartment.

Following arrest, McMikle and Bayless were released on appearance tickets. Sanders was processed and held for arraignment.

Man orders take-out for another’s address

GLOVERSVILLE — Alexander R. Passino, 18, of 97 S. Judson St., was charged with theft of services by city police at 10:45 p.m. Saturday.

Passino was taken into custody following an investigation by police into an incident at Domino’s Pizza on West Fulton Street. During the investigation, officers learned that Passino allegedly called Domino’s and ordered $49.15 worth of food to be delivered to another address, with no intention of paying for the goods.

Passino was arrested, processed and released with an appearance ticket.

Man arrested for slapping woman

GLOVERSVILLE — Mark R. Williams, 39, of 20 Western Blvd., was charged with third-degree attempted assault by city police Friday at 11:50 p.m. following a domestic violence incident.

Police said that Williams allegedly struck a female in the face with an open hand.

Williams was taken into custody, processed and held for arraignment.
