Failure to appear leads to warrant
GLOVERSVILLE — John P. Damphier Jr., 28, of 10 McKinley Ave., Johnstown, was taken into custody by city police Sunday on a bench warrant.
Police said the warrant for Damphier was issued for failure to appear on a previous charge.
Damphier was arrested, processed and held for arraignment.
Domestic violence call leads to arrest
GLOVERSVILLE — Shannon N. Marshall, 31, of 7848 Route 9W, Catskill, was taken into custody by state police Monday following their investigation into a domestic violence incident.
During the investigation, state police in Catskill learned that Marshall had an active arrest warrant issued by City Court for petit larceny.
Marshall was turned over to city police, processed and held for arraignment.
Car accident leads to marijuana charge
EPHRATAH — Vaughn J. Coates, 19, of 1116 Mt. Misery Road, Hanacroix, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 6:54 p.m. Feb. 16 with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Deputies said he was charged following a motor vehicle accident investigation in the town of Ephratah.
The suspect will appear later in Town Court.
Suspended registration charged after stop
AMSTERDAM — Christopher Whitman, 42, of 162 Spring St., Gloversville was charged on Monday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.
Whitman was released on an appearance ticket.
Driver charged with being unlicensed
AMSTERDAM — Michael J. Mays, 39, of 314 Glen Avenue, Amsterdam was charged on Sunday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
He was released on an appearance ticket.
Man charged with criminal mischief
AMSTERDAM — A 53-year-old Broadalbin woman was charged by state police on Wednesday with third-degree criminal mischief for an incident which occurred on Jan. 29.
Rae L. Bezio was released on an appearance ticket.
Traffic stop leads to drug, DWAI charges
AMSTERDAM — Stephen P. Furman, 43, of Amsterdam, was charged by state police on Thursday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, failure to keep right, failure to stop at a stop sign and first-degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
Cell phone use while driving leads to DWI
PERTH — Scott W. Vosburgh, 50, of Perth, was charged by state police on Feb. 15 with failure to use designated lane, driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and using a cell phone while driving.
