Argument leads to charges
PALATINE — Wayne M. Darling, 43, of 93 Grand Street, was charged on Saturday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for obstructing governmental administration and second-degree harassment.
Darling was charged following a complaint at the Budget Inn. He allegedly threatened neighbors. During the investigation, Darling had allegedly refused to give deputies his name and date of birth and refused to cooperate. He was arraigned in town court and remanded to the correctional facility in lieu of bail.
Possession of a weapon charged
GLOVERSVILLE — Thomas A. Duesler Sr., 54, of 126 Church Road, Johnstown, was charged on Friday by city police with third degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and fifth degree possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.
Officers said Duesler was charged following a traffic stop. During the stop Duesler was allegedly found to be in possession of over 50 grams of marijuana and a butterfly knife, an illegal weapon under state law. The criminal possession of a weapon offense was enhanced to a felony due to Duesler having a previous criminal conviction.
Duesler was transported to the station where he was processed and arraigned in City Court.
Man arrested on probation warrant
GLOVERSVILLE — Kyle J. Richer, 20, of 222 N. Perry St., Johnstown, was taken into custody by city police at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on a bench warrant.
Police said Richer was located at 2712 Route 29 when he was taken into custody for a probation violation related to a previous menacing conviction.
Richer was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment.
Man faces several charges
GLOVERSVILLE — Kalub J. Bleyl, 33, of 49 Park St., was charged by city police at 12:35 a.m. Sunday with endangering the welfare of a child, third degree attempted assault and fourth degree criminal mischief.
Police said Bleyl was charged following an investigation into a domestic violence complaint.
During the investigation officers learned that Bleyl allegedly assaulted a female subject in the presence of children and then refused to allow the children to call for medical or law enforcement assistance.
Bleyl was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment.
Driver charged with DWI after accident
JOHNSTOWN –Timothy C. Hilts, 57, of 25 Hoosac St., was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 4:38 p.m. Feb. 10 with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI — driving with 0.18 or greater blood-alcohol content, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Deputies said he was charged following a motor vehicle accident on Route 29 in the town of Johnstown. Deputies said Hilts was allegedly intoxicated and found to be in possession of a firearm.
Hilts was arraigned in Town Court and released to reappear later.
