Domestic leads to harassment charge

JOHNSTOWN — Kathleen Vanalstine, 45, of 329 N. Perry St., was charged by city police at 1:14 p.m. Feb. 8 with second-degree harassment, a violation.

Police said she was charged at home after officers responded to a domestic incident.

She will appear later in City Court.

Traffic stop leads to unlicensed charge

JOHNSTOWN — Robert A. Dence, 49, of 124 Prospect St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 11:30 p.m. Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and an equipment violation.

He will appear later in City Court.

Failure to signal leads to more charges

JOHNSTOWN — Derek R. Dumond, 31, of 9 First Ave., Mayfield, was charged by city police at 10:10 p.m. Sunday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and failure to signal.

Police said he was charged on North William Street after a traffic stop.

He will appear later in City Court.

Woman jailed on $10,000 cash bail

JOHNSTOWN — Alyssa M. Curry, 23, of 27 Homestead Drive, Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s investigators at 11:50 a.m. Jan. 19 with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor.

Investigators said she was charged following a drug offense case in the town. Curry was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and a hypodermic instrument.

Curry was held for arraignment in Town Court. She was then sent to the county jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, to reappear in court later. She was still incarcerated as of Wednesday.

Woman charged with having cocaine

JOHNSTOWN — Amaya L. Jones, 34, of 34 S. Main St., Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s investigators at 11:50 a.m. Jan. 19 with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors.

Investigators said she was charged following a recent narcotics investigation. Jones allegedly possessed a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

She will appear later in Town Court.

Grand larceny charge lodged

JOHNSTOWN — Edward R. Spraker, 27, of 260 Persch Road, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 8:36 a.m. Jan. 24 with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police said he was charged at 320 N. Comrie Ave. in connection with an offense Jan. 19. Police said officers investigated a complaint of theft at Treiber Nissan.

Spraker will appear later in City Court.

Driver charged with being unlicensed

JOHNSTOWN — Tina L. Shea, 41, of 273 W. Fulton St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 5:45 a.m. Sunday with one misdemeanor count of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Police said she was charged on East State Street after an investigation of a motor vehicle accident.

Shea will appear later in City Court.
