Man arrested on family court warrant

FONDA — Martin P. Hladik, 58, of 48 Forth Ave., Gloversville was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday for an active bench out of Montgomery County Family Court.

Hladik was arraigned before Judge Philip Cortese and remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on a cash bail of $500.

Man jailed for criminal contempt

DOLGEVILLE — Nickolas C. Pabis, 29, of 129 N. Main St., was charged on Tuesday by Dolgeville Police Department for first-degree criminal contempt and third-degree assault.

Pabis allegedly violated an order of protection by harassing and assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

Pabis was arraigned in the town of Little Falls Court. He was committed into the Herkimer County jail with a cash bail of $2,500 or bail bond of $5,000.

Speeding stop leads to marijuana charge

CAROGA — Zachary W. Vogel, 20, of Piseco was charged by state police on Sunday with speeding in a posted zone and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Man charge with pot possession

GLEN – Brandon K. Stark, 32, of Canajoharie, was charged by state police on Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Route 5S.

Yale Street traffic stop leads to charges

AMSTERDAM – Dante Rivera, 19, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Yale Street.

Driver jailed for having pound of pot

COXSACKIE –On Dec. 15 at approximately 11:26 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of Coxsackie for a moving violation. During the interview of the driver for the traffic violation, probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established.

The driver, Christopher J. Valentine, 38, of Amsterdam, was found to be in possession of approximately one pound of marijuana.

Valentine was taken into custody, transported and processed where he was subsequently charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a Class D felony and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Valentine was arraigned in the town of Coxsackie Court and remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond.

Driver cuts across lanes to turn, cited

GLOVERSVILLE — One person was ticketed following a two-vehicle crash in the city on Thursday according to city police.

Officers said Ariel S. Mauleon of Gloversville and Abigail J. Levin of Johnstown were stopped on South Main Street at the intersection of Burr Street. Mauleon was in the lane to turn left and Levin was in the lane to go straight or turn right. While the light was red, police said Mauleon attempted to turn right from the left turning lane to go onto Burr Street and struck Levin’s vehicle.

Mauleon was issued tickets for failure to stay in designated lane and failure to stop for a stop light.
