Pair charged with drug possession

GLOVERSVILLE — A city pair are facing charges after state police said they were in possession of controlled substances.

Troopers said Ernest C. McMikle, 31, and Kayla L. Dwight, 23, were charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Troopers said a search warrant was issued in the city of Gloversville.

Both McMikle and Dwight were processed at the Mayfield barracks without incident and arraigned in the City Court.

McMikle and Dwight were remanded to the Fulton County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.

This is Dwight’s second drug related charge this year.

In late August, Dwight was charged by state police with second-degree conspiracy, first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 8-ounces or more and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Dwight, along with two other women was caught with controlled substances following a traffic stop in Schenectady.

Man charged with shoplifting

AMSTERDAM — Patrick E. Tanner, 52, of 14 Jay St. was charged Monday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for petit larceny.

Tanner allegedly stole $36.28 worth in merchadice from Walmart. Tanner was processed and released on an appearance ticket to return to town court at a later date.

Man faces multiple charges

AMSTERDAM — Wayne J. Mills, 27, of 29 High St., Amsterdam was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with petit larceny, criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from Walmart that Mills allegedly stole merchandise from them while caring for his daughter.

Driver charged with having forged sticker

AMSTERDAM — Jackeline Perez-Soto, 24, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday for operating on a suspended license and forged inspection sticker. The deputy executed a traffic stop and a DMV check showed Perez-Soto had a suspended license. She is to appear in town court at a later date.

Man charged with trespassing

JOHNSTOWN — Cory J. Hart, 23, of 54 First Ave., Apartment 1, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 12:06 p.m. Nov. 11 with trespass.

Police said the location of the arrest was Pioneer Window Manufacturing, 200 Union Ave. Ext., at the Johnstown Industrial Park. Police said Hart was given a prior warning by management to stay off the property.

He will appear later in City Court.

Woman arrested on warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Karen L. Danforth, 43, of 32 1/2 Alexander St., Gloversville, was arrested by city police at 9 a.m. Nov. 14 on a warrant.

Police said she was charged on a bench warrant issued by City Court.

She was held for arraignment in that court.

Man charged with reckless endangerment

JOHNSTOWN — Timothy D. Lovato, 33, of 107 S. Perry St., was charged by city police at 4:25 a.m. Nov. 12 with second-degree reckless endangerment.

Police said he was charged at home after officers responded to a family offense.

He was held for arraignment in City Court.
