Gloversville man charged after incident

GLOVERSVILLE — Jose A. Samuels, 50, of 61 Union St. was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree attempted assault by city police on Thursday.

Officers said they received a complaint of a domestic violence incident. An investigation was conducted, and Samuels was subsequently charged after it was learned he struck the victim during an argument.

Samuels was transported to the station where he was held for arraignment in City Court.

Gloversville man faces charges

GLOVERSVILLE –Dakota N. Smith, 22, of 12 Fox St. was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree attempted assault by city police on Oct. 31. Officers said they responded to the report of a domestic violence complaint.

Upon arrival officers could hear a male yelling inside the residence.

Through the course of the investigation it was learned that a physical altercation occurred between Smith and the female victim.

Smith was transported to the station where he was processed and held for arraignment in City Court.

Man charged with petit larceny

AMSTERDAM — Daniel C. Kozlowski, 21, of 1795 County Highway 107, Amsterdam, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Nov. 7 for petit larceny for allegedly taking items from Walmart without paying for them.

Driver charged with failure to stop

GLOVERSVILLE –One person was ticketed following a two vehicle accident on Oct. 25, according to city police.

Officers said Colleen M. Gray of Johnstown failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of South Arlington and West Fulton Street and struck a vehicle driven by Kristi A. Alicea of Broadalbin.

Gray was ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Driver charged with following too closely

GLOVERSVILLE — One person was ticketed following a two vehicle accident in the city on Nov. 3, according to city police.

Officers said Erica A. Lehnert of Fonda was stopped at the stop light on Route 30A at the intersection with Harrison Street when she was struck by another vehicle driven by Katie A. Vosekas who police said failed to stop in time.

Vosekas was issued a ticket for following too closely.

Driver charged after two-vehicle accident

GLOVERSVILLE — One person was issued tickets following a two-vehicle accident Nov. 5, according to city police.

Officers said Veronica Decastro of Amsterdam was driving south on Orchard Street when she struck the vehicle in front of her, driven by Katlynn L. Slansky of Gloversville, that was turning left.

Decastro was issued tickets for driving with an invalid license, failure to stay in lane and following too closely.
