Man charged with disorderly conduct

GLOVERSVILLE — Thomas M. Shanahan, 31, of 13 Haskell St., Hagaman was charged by city police on Oct. 29 for disorderly conduct. Shanahan was charged after yelling obscenities and drawing attention of patrons in the parking lot. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in city court at a later date.

Driver charged with failure to yield

GLOVERSVILLE — A driver was ticketed on one charge following an accident investigated by city police at 6:44 p.m. Oct. 28 on South Main Street at Cayadutta Street.

Police said Gary W. Hill Sr., 54, of 77 Prospect Ave., was ticketed on a charge of failure to yield the right of way.

Police said he was attempting a left turn off South Main Street on to Cayadutta Street. Police said Hill said he didn’t see a car driven by James M. Steenburg, 56, of 4 Bristol St. traveling south before a collision occurred.

No injuries were reported.

Man arrested on probation warrant

PERTH — Dustin J. Sparks, 22, of 108 Yale St., Gloversville, was arrested by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies Friday on a warrant.

Deputies said he was charged for allegedly violating probation. Deputies said he had contact with Gloversville police before being transported to the county sheriff’s office.

He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the county jail to reappear in court later.

Physical altercation leads to charges

GLOVERSVILLE — Two people were charged by city police at 3 a.m. Friday with disorderly conduct.

Police said Derek Heyer, 43, of 22 E. Eighth Ave., Gloversville, and Sierra J. Michaels, 31, of 199 W. Fulton St., Gloversville, were each charged from a incident on North Main Street.

Police said Heyer and Michaels were observed by officers physically fighting with each other in the street.

The suspects will appear in City Court at a later date.

Driver charged with felony unlicensed

JOHNSTOWN – Austin L. Cameron, 21, of Johnstown was charged by state police on Sunday with felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher and driving while intoxicated, first offense.

Woman charged with pot possession

AMSTERDAM — Jody A. Watkins, 63, of Ft. Johnson, was charged by state police on Sunday with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana – over 8 ounces.
