Woman charged with misuse of benefits

JOHNSTOWN — Marcy L. Folensbee, 42, of 21 Allen St., Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s investigators on Oct. 23 with misdemeanor counts of petit larceny and misuse of food stamps.

Investigators said she was charged at the sheriff’s office at 1:10 p.m. Folensbee used another person’s SNAP benefit card in order to obtain benefits that she was not entitled to, while the other person was incarcerated at the county jail, investigators said.

She will appear later in City Court.

Man fails to attend victim impact event

GLOVERSVILLE — David W. Duesler, 30, of 68 Sixth Ave. Gloversville, was charged on Monday by city police on a bench warrant for failing to attend the Victim’s Impact panel as a condition of court. He was held for arraignment in city court.

Man held for attempted assault

GLOVERSVILLE — Jonathan, M. Filkins, 44, of 140 S. Main St., Gloversville, was charged on Oct. 27 by city police for third-degree attempted assault. Filkins allegedly attempted to assault a female during an argument. He was processed and held for arraignment in city court.

Warrant arrest leads to resisting charge

GLOVERSVILLE — Devondre L. Howard, 18, of 13 Burr St., Gloversville, was charged on Oct. 27 by city police on an arrest warrant for resisting arrest and for an active bench warrant issued by city court for failing to complete community service hours on a prior disorderly conduct and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance conviction.

The arrest warrant for resisting was also issued after Howard fled from police on the active bench warrant during a prior incident. He was held for arraignment in city court.

Man gives false name to avoid arrest

GLOVERSVILLE — Christopher Knapp, 34, of 10 Jay St., Gloversville on Saturday by city police for criminal impersonation. Knapp charged following a disorderly conduct complaint and during the investigation, Knapp gave a false name in attempt to not be charged for an active warrant from parole. He was held for arraignment in city court.

Traffic stop leads to warrant arrest

GLOVERSVILLE — Amy Lawton, 54, of 18 sixth Ave., Gloversville was charged by city police on Oct. 27 on a bench warrant and failure to appear.

She was charged on an active bench warrant following a traffic stop. The bench warrant was issued by city court on Oct. 3 for failure to appear. Lawton was held for arraignment in city court.

Probation absconder arrested on warrant

GLOVERSVILLE — Shannon M. McAllister, 28, of 156 Log City Road, Amsterdam, was charged by city police on Oct. 28 for bench warrant violation. McAllister was charged by city police on an active bench warrant that was issued by city court for being a probation absconder.

Man charged with being disorderly

GLOVERSVILLE — Michael G. Rosario, 41, of 39 West St., Gloversville was charged by city police on Oct. 28 for disorderly conduct. Rosario could be heard by officers from the roadway, yelling obscenities. He was held for arraignment in city court.
