Woman allegedly stole from employer
JOHNSTOWN — Angela A. Ellis, 28, of 67 E. Main St., was charged by city police at 9:45 a.m. Sept. 13 with petit larceny and second-degree falsifying business records.
Police said she was arrested on Enterprise Road. Police said Ellis was an employee of the Stewart’s Shop at 1 E. Main St., where she was accused of taking various items from July 24 through Aug. 27, while working. Officers said the total loss in products was $300. Police said Ellis allegedly falsified cash register journal entries.
She was released in lieu of $200 cash bail, pending a City Court appearance.
Man allegedly takes bicycle tire
JOHNSTOWN — Avery S. Wiles, 21, of 22 N. Market St., was charged by city police at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 12 with petit larceny.
Police said the suspect was charged at home for an incident at 11:50 p.m. Sept. 6 at 8 E. State St. Police said Wiles took a bicycle tire.
He will appear later in Town Court.
Traffic stop leads to marijuana charges
BROADALBIN — Brian K. Lander, 50, of Broadalbin, was charged by state police on Sept. 13 with unlawfully growing marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Woman held on arrest warrant
JOHNSTOWN — Ashlee M. Herring, 30, of 10 E. Clinton St., was arrested by city police at 9:13 p.m. Sept. 13 on a warrant.
Police said she was charged at the police station on a bench warrant from City Court.
She was held for an appearance in that court.
Man charged on bench warrant
JOHNSTOWN — Thomas J. Hulett, 30, of 218 Florida Ave., Apartment 1, Amsterdam, was arrested by city police at 9:29 a.m. Sept. 12 on a warrant.
Police said he was charged at the police station on a bench warrant from City Court.
He was held for an appearance in that court.
Inmate charged with assaulting another
JOHNSTOWN — LaTerence H. Wilson, 33, of Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 10 a.m. Saturday with second-degree assault.
Deputies said he was charged following an assault at the Fulton County Jail. An incident occurred between Wilson and another inmate, deputies said.
He will appear later in City Court.
Man charged with felony DWI
AMSTERDAM — Patrick Michael Trippany, 40, of 826 Jay St. Albany, was charged on Saturday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for aggravated DWI, having a blood-alcohol content of 0.18 percent or higher, DWI first offense, and moving from lane unsafely. Trippany was processed and released and to return to town court.
Man held on county court warrant
AMSTERDAM — Corey E. McCann, 20, of 400 Division St. Amsterdam, was arrested on Saturday by Montgomery County deputies on a Montgomery County Court warrant. McCann was held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility until Monday morning for arraignment.
