Traffic stop leads to unlicensed operation

JOHNSTOWN — Thomas W. Hamel, 24, of 1 West St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 10:40 p.m. Aug. 3 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and uninspected motor vehicle.

Police said the motorist was charged following a vehicle stop on South Comrie Avenue.

Hamel was released on $200 cash bail to appear later in City Court.

Traffic checkpoint leads to charges

JOHNSTOWN –Two local men were arrested by city police on drug charges at 12:04 a.m. Aug. 4 on South Comrie Avenue.

Police said a vehicle driven by Joshua A. Kilmartin, 22, of 30 Fifth Ave., Apartment 1, Gloversville, was stopped at a traffic checkpoint. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and uninspected motor vehicle.

Police said passenger Nathan R. Perron, 33, of 18 Cliff St., Apartment 1, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both will appear later in City Court.

Traffic stop results in more charges

JOHNSTOWN — Ella M. Robinson, 56, of 14 Nixon Court, Coram, Suffolk County, was charged by city police at 1:13 a.m. Aug. 4 with uninspected motor vehicle and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police said the motorist was cited following a stop on South Comrie Avenue.

She was released on $200 cash bail, pending action in City Court.

Loud exhaust leads to more charges

JOHNSTOWN — Jeremy A. Cox, 27, of 3 Vanwyck St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 1:28 p.m. Aug. 4 with loud exhaust and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police said Cox was charged on West Fulton Street.

He will appear later in City Court.

Man charged with endangering child

JOHNSTOWN — Dustin A. Hart, 28, of 7 Whitmore Ave., was charged by city police at 8:48 p.m. Aug. 4 with endangering the welfare of a child and petit larceny.

Police said he was charged on East Main Street stemming from an incident in which he allegedly took a 12-pack of beer and threw it to the ground. Hart’s alleged actions were with children present, police said.

He was held for arraignment in City Court.

Two men charged after traffic stop

JOHNSTOWN — Two Gloversville men were charged by city police at 11:53 a.m. Aug. 5 after a traffic stop on North Perry Street.

Police said driver Ian A. Poultney, 25, of 5 Montgomery St., Apartment 1, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, false personation, and failure to keep right.

Police said passenger Christopher A. Cline, 31, of 299 S. Main St. (up), was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Poultney was released on $300 cash bail, and Cline was released with an appearance ticket for City Court.

Unregistered car leads to charges

JOHNSTOWN — Alyssa M. Marlitt, 24, of 24 1/2 N. Melcher St., was charged by city police at 2:02 a.m. Aug. 5 with unregistered motor vehicle and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Police said she was charged on West Main Street.

The motorist was released on $200 cash bail, pending further action in City Court.
