Women’s health expo slated

MAYFIELD — For any community members who may be interested in learning more about local businesses that offer and promote health and fitness services, can attend the Women’s Health and Fitness Expo.

The Women’s Health and Fitness Expo will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mayfield Conference Center at the Sanctuary at 145 Riceville Road, Gloversville.

The expo will feature 15 different vendors and businesses that promote health awareness. Each vendor will spend some time on stage to discuss their business and educate people on what services they offer whether it be a type of fitness, health or beauty product.

Erin Roth, owner of Mayfield Conference Center and director of the event, said she wanted to have this event to “make everyone else aware of what we have in the community.”

“I hope everyone who comes will learn something about a local business or try classes that works for them or try different products that business can offer for them,” Roth said.

The event is free and open to the public.

Some of the vendors include: Ageless Aesthetics which will give discount botox and will educate on the truths and myths of the treatment; KiKi’s Spa which will be offering threading services; Rejuvenate Skin and Body will be showing eyelash and eyebrow dying; Core Fit will demonstrate its drum program.

“I hope that not only women learn something, but the vendors earn more business for themselves,” Roth said.

She said there will also be drawings for a gift card to Lanzi’s — once in the morning and once in the afternoon. For a chance to win the gift card, attendees will have to check in to the Mayfield Conference Center through Facebook.

Roth who owns the Mayfield Conference with her husband, said this will be the first big event to be held there and hopes for more events to come.
