Teens face vandalism charges

JOHNSTOWN — City police last weekend arrested three teens who allegedly went on a vandalism spree walking the Glove Cities.

Johnstown police on Tuesday reported these arrests: Curtis J.H. Bartlett, 16, of 110 First Ave., Caroga Lake; Thomas L. Blackwell, 17, of 307 W. Madison Ave.; and Noah H. Gordon, 17, of 105 Pine St.

Police said all three face felony counts of third-degree criminal mischief. Bartlett and Blackwell also face misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief charges.

The suspects were arrested at 3:35 p.m. Saturday in connection with alleged offenses at 7:04 a.m. Aug. 16.

Police said Bartlett, Blackwell and Gordon allegedly damaged property while walking from Gloversville to Johnstown. Property damage included damage to vehicles at John C. Miller, signs to the Fulton County Department of Social Services, Perry Lanes Bowling Center, and numerous political signs, and more incidents of damage, police said.

The suspects were released to appear later in City Court.
