GENESEO — The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its dean’s list for the fall semester 2017. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Western New England University
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Ryan Zajaceskowski, of Broadalbin, has been named to the dean’s list at Western New England University for the fall semester of 2017. Zajaceskowski is working toward a degree in marketing.
Students are named to the dean’s list for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.
CLEMSON, S.C. — Daniel T. Jarabek of Johnstown, an architecture major, has been named to the fall president’s list at Clemson University for a 4.0 grade-point average.
Ashley DaBiere has been placed on the dean’s list at Cornell University, College of Arts & Sciences for the fall 2017 semester. She has been recognized for this by earning a GPA of 3.92. Ashley is a junior majoring in biology/pre-med. She is the daughter of Tony and Connie DaBiere of Tribes Hill.
Erica Kristyn Askew, daughter of Eric and Lisa Askew of Johnstown, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Siena College. Askew, a philosophy major with a pre-law certificate, is a senior graduating in May 2018. She is a 2014 graduate of Johnstown High School. Askew is a member of Siena College’s Honor Society Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International and completed a legal fellows program at Pace University School of Law. Askew competes on the Division I swimming and diving team at Siena College and is on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for the third year in a row.
Rensslear Polytechnic Institute
TROY — Evan Walrath, the son of John and Robin Walrath of Gloversville, was named to the dean’s list for the third semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rensselaer County, where he is majoring in biomedical engineering. He carries a 3.87 grade point average.
Walrath, who was the 2016 valedictorian at Gloversville High School, was the 2015 RPI math and science medal award recipient.
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Wilkes University Provost Dr. Anne Skleder announced the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, Jonathan Heroth of Johnstown obtained a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carried at least 12 credits.
University of Hartford
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The University of Hartford is pleased to announce Alesha Heacock of Gloversville has been named to its dean’s list for fall 2017.
CLINTON — Avery M. Cook, the daughter of Ruthie and Stephen Cook of Fonda, and a first-year student at Hamilton College, Clinton, Oneida County, recently travelled to New York City to participate in Hamilton’s Career Center’s NYC Immersion Day. The visit allowed students to explore potential career interests through site visits, panel discussions and alumni networking.
The trip featured three different industry tracks for students to choose from: publishing, law, and the arts. Students from each track observed different professional environments through site visits with alumni at HarperCollins and Scholastic Book Trade; art gallery Kaikodo, and art agency, Art plus Commerce; and law firms Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, and Walden, Macht, and Haran.
Cook is a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville Central High School.
Florida Institute of Technology
MELBOURNE, Fla. — Devyn Clute of Gloversville has been named to the dean’s list at Florida Institute of Technology for the fall 2017 semester.
To be included on the dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a semester grade point average of at least 3.4.
CASTLETON, Vt. — Morgan Cramer of Northville, was recently named to the Castleton University president’s list for the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
To qualify for this highest academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 4.0.
CORTLAND — Emily A. Fettinger, the daughter of Andrea and Mark Fettinger, both of Johnstown, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester.
Fettinger, a 2013 graduate of Johnstown High School, is majoring in athletic training.

FARMINGTON, Maine — The University of Maine announces Fleur Houle of Johnstown, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester.
