FMCC hosts Dolgeville students

JOHNSTOWN — On Friday, Fulton-Montgomery Community College hosted third-grade students from Dolgeville Central School.

Approximately 50 third graders visited with faculty members Erica Gauer- Gonzalez, instructor of early childhood education, and Laurie Lazinski, assistant professor of chemistry, along with FM students, to partake in fun and educational projects.

“We want to give the children more exposure to college at an early age,” said Dolgeville third-grade teacher Megan Gargas.  “It’s never too early to get these young students thinking about careers; hands-on activities in a college setting is a great way to do this.”
