Owners of Dad’s Music Shop in Johnstown plead guilty to charges relating to fire at the shop

JOHNSTOWN – The husband and wife owners of Dad’s Music shop have pleaded guilty in Fulton County Court today to charges in relation to an April 9, 2015 fire at the shop, according to a news release from Acting Fulton County District Attorney Chad Brown.

Garry Lane, 81, plead guilty to third-degree attempted arson, a felony. He is expected to be sentenced on Oct. 11 to 1 year in jail with $23,710 restitution to the Fire Departments involved.

Audrey Lane, 57, plead guilty to fourth-degree conspiracy, a felony. She is expected to be sentenced on Oct. 11 to 5 years probation with the restitution payable to the Fire Departments involved.

The fire destroyed the former music shop at 1008 Route 29A, just outside the Gloversville City Limit.
