Splendid Sicilia trip planned in 2019

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin Senior Citizens met on Wednesday, with 46 members present. The last meeting of the year will be Dec. 12. The club will hold its Christmas party on Dec. 6, at the Bridge Walk at Perthshire. The members voted to bring an unwrapped gift for a child instead of exchanging grab bag gifts. The unwrapped gifts will be given to the Broadalbin Food Pantry for distribution to the community.

The trip committee is working on trips for 2019; scheduled so far:

May 2: “Phantom of the Opera” at Proctors. $25 is due on signup and the balance by March 3. The cost is $75. There are limited seats available. The dinner will be on one’s own at an undetermined restaurant.

Nov. 2 to 11: Splendid Sicilia — Highlights include Palermo, Monreale, Corleone, Cefalu, Agrigento, Taormina and Siracusa. The cost starts at $3,799 double occupancy and includes air.
