Veteran’s picnic is set for Sept. 15
JOHNSTOWN — Retiring state Assemblyman Marc Butler is hosting a picnic for veterans and their guests for the third consecutive year at the Pine Tree Rifle Club, 419 Johnson Ave., on Sept. 15, from noon to 4 p.m.
The day will include a speaker, former Navy Seal and current Fulton County undersheriff Dan Izzo; music by the “Sophisticats”; and a song selection by Mayfield student Cameron Allen.
“It is my pleasure to recognize and honor all veterans, past and present,” Butler said in a release.
“We must never forget it is through their service and sacrifice that we have the many freedoms we enjoy.”
The event is offered to each veteran and one guest at no cost. Reservations are required, and space is limited.
To reserve a place, call Butler’s office at (518) 762-1427 or email a reservation request to firstname.lastname@example.org
The picnic will be made possible through donations from individuals and local businesses. Potential donors or sponsors may call Butler’s office.
