JOHNSTOWN — The Johnstown Historical Society will present Living History Walking Tours, “Stories Behind the Stones,” on Sept. 22, at 1, 1:20 and 1:40 p.m. at Johnstown Cemetery on North Perry Street.

Costumed guides will lead tour groups down winding roads dotted with elaborate headstones. The past will come alive as actors introduce themselves as former residents who helped shape the city of Johnstown and beyond. Information boards with historical facts will mark the path.

The walking tours will take approximately 90 minutes. Those attending should wear comfortable shoes.

Tickets are $10, but children 12 and younger will be admitted free. Tickets are available for purchase at the cemetery on the day of the event, which is a fundraiser for the historical society. The rain date is Sept. 23. For more information, call the historical society at (518) 332-7695.
