70th annual interfaith tea meetings held
GLOVERSVILLE — The first planning meeting for the 70th annual interfaith tea was held on Aug. 14, at the Gloversville Knesseth Israel Synagogue, according to a news release.
The theme for this year’s event will be CommUnity together in Faith. The tea will be hosted by the synagogue at the Johnstown Reformed Church on Oct. 9. The event will start with entertainment and a guest speaker at 11:45 a.m. followed by the tea at 12:30 p.m. Participating church members were given assignments at this meeting.
The next planning meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Sept 18, at the Johnstown Reformed Church where all final plans will be completed. The tea is open to everyone at no change. A good will offering is accepted with the proceeds going to a charity of the committee’s choice.
