USS Slater open to public for tours

ALBANY — USS Slater will be open to the public for guided tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Independence Day, Wednesday.

A national historic landmark, USS Slater is the only restored World War II destroyer escort afloat in America and is located on the Hudson River in downtown Albany just south of the Dunn Memorial Bridge.

Regular public hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children.
