Alzheimer’s talk set for Thursday
JOHNSTOWN — HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, announced a program on dementia conversations will be held on Thursday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at 2 Colonial Court.
“This program is for those with a family member or close friend experiencing Alzheimer’s or dementia,” stated Meagan DeMento program manager for the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York. “Get suggestions to assist with conversations related to dementia, doctor visits, when to stop driving, making legal or financial plans, and more.”
Immediately following the presentation, the Alzheimer’s Caregiver Group will meet at 4 p.m. This monthly meeting is for family members or friends who care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Both meetings are free and open to the public.
