Book discussion on “City of Light”

WELLS — The Virginia Hosley Free Library on Route 30 will hold a book discussion on the novel, “City of Light” by Lauren Belfer.

The discussion will take place on Jan. 16 at 9:30 a.m. Holly Hite will facilitate the discussion. 

“City of Light” is about  Buffalo in the year 1901 with its booming industry and newly electrified streets.

Louise Barrett, Headmistress of Buffalo’s most prestigious school, is not prepared for evidence of a murder tied to the city’s power plant at nearby Niagara Falls. This crime, followed by another mysterious death, ignites an explosive chain of events. Louise, one extraordinary woman in their midst, must protect a dark secret that implicates them all. 

Copies of “City of Light” are available for check-out at the Virginia Hosley Free Library, which is open on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm and on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. until noon.
