Artist Sherry Anne to perform Aug. 12

FORT PLAIN — Hearing-impaired singer and national recording artist Sherry Anne will sing at the Celebration of Love and Life community outreach event in Haslett Park at Willett and River streets Aug. 12 at 5 p.m.

The program also includes speaker Rev. Sharon LaBella, a Biblical counselor and registered nurse with a weekly radio program called His Hope for Your Life airing on WGLU-LP 106.1 FM.

Admission is free.

Anne, born with a bilateral hearing and speech impairment, sings with a voice that blends a passion for Southern Gospel-style, country and blues music with her faith. She has shared a message of hope at women’s conferences nationally and has recorded a public service announcement for the International Christian Centers for the Deaf in northern Mexico. On invitation, Anne sang at the Gaither Vocal Band concert in Buffalo on July 14.
