GOP caucus planned for Jan. 24

BROADALBIN — Jim Jankowski, Republican party village election chairman, announced the party caucus will be held on Jan. 24 at the village municipal building at 7 p.m.

The purpose of the causus is to nominate candidates for the offices to be filled at the next general election on March 21.

Offices to be filled at that election are village mayor for a two-year term and two trustees, each for a two-year term.

The positions are currently held by village Mayor Eugene R. Christopher and trustees Thomas Folts and Mario Cristaldi. Folts is not seeking re-election.

Participation in the causus is limited to village residents who are registered Republicans.
