JOHNSTOWN — Highlights Performing Arts of Johnstown traveled out by way of Gerber Tours for a full-day dance experience in Boston.

Kimberly Bartlett, artistic director, and Meghan Bartlett, head instructor, attended a Day of Dance experience accompanied by 13 dancers and chaperones. Highlights were given a tour of the Boston Ballet. Students were able to see the primary company practicing and rehearsing for the upcoming season of “The Nutcracker.”

Students viewed six different classes, the opera house, wardrobe, and conference halls of the ballet. They then attended a two-hour ballet session at Urbanity Studio.

Highlights students are currently preparing for their holiday production of “T’was the Night Before Christmas” on Dec. 22 at 1 p.m. at the Johnstown High School performing arts theater.
