Kids read 1,349 books in reading program

FONDA — During the Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., summer reading program, there were 107 children who participated and read 1,349 books. The eight week program concluded Aug. 15, with an all about animals game. The children who were unable to attend the game can stop by the library for their certificate and awards, according to a news release.

The summer reading program was funded by the library and included: Stewart’s Holiday Match, the Montgomery County Youth Bureau, Children’s Aid Association, The Lion’s Club and Fultonville Redemption Center, the news release stated.
