Chamber hires Casale, promotes Walrath


GLOVERSVILLE — The hiring of Tom Casale as the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce’s membership coordinator and the promotion of Nicole Walrath to director of workforce development have been announced by Mark Kilmer, chamber president.
“Tom has a strong background in marketing and communications and is involved in the community. He will be a great asset to our team at the chamber,” Kilmer said.

Casale earned a bachelor of science in communications and journalism at Castleton State College in Vermont. His previous experience includes freelance sports writing for USA Today Sports/The Huddle. He covered the Syracuse University basketball team as a sports writer for CBS Sports and was a field director for a congressional campaign in Fulton County.

 In his new position, Casale is responsible for the sales of new chamber memberships and maintaining contact with current members.  He also coordinates Business After Hours and ribbon-cutting events and will be the staff point person for the ambassador committee.  He can be reached at or by phone at (518) 725-0641.

Walrath, in her role as director of workforce development, Walrath will continue to work with businesses and school districts, but will now be working with new PTECH/Pathways programs to support business partnerships and will now also be responsible for helping to facilitate job placement for PTECH graduates. She also now has a supervisory role, overseeing the business and education partnership coordinator.

She joined the chamber in October of 2013 as a tourism assistant working for the Fulton County Tourism Department and was most recently was business and education partnership coordinator. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in business and technology management at the State University at SUNY Delhi.
