Schine donates to The Glove
GLOVERSVILLE — A recent exhibit which ran for three weekends at the Schine Gallery was for the benefit of the Glove Performing Arts Center. The Glove Performing Arts Center had a display of memorabilia of the Glove Theater, which is celebrating its 103rd year and continues to enrich, educate, and entertain the community.
According to a news release, The Glove holds great potential for renewal of the downtown area and needs to continue the great progress that has started.
The exhibit also highlighted the progress of the Fulton Montgomery County Quilt Barn Trail. Liz Cole Argotsinger is the driving force behind the Fulton Montgomery Quilt Barn Trail.
After three years, the inaugural map is available and shows the locations of over 130 quilt barn squares.
Argotsinger has created some unique quilt barn squares and some were highlighted.
Over 400 people visited and enjoyed the Schine exhibit to benefit the Glove Performing Arts Center.
The mission of the Schine Gallery is to promote local artistic endeavors to benefit local nonprofit organizations.
