SPCA to hold 10th annual pet portraits
AMSTERDAM — The Montgomery County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will hold its 10th annual holiday pet portraits and vendor fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Riverfront Center, according to a news release.
A $25 donation includes three printed photos and a holiday photo frame. For a $30 donation, participants will receive a CD with all digital images. Holiday photos of pet can be taken by itself, with Santa or with the whole family. Also welcome are individuals and families without pets who would like to have a holiday photo taken, with or without Santa. Photos will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
To ensure the safety of pets and people, dogs must be leashed and smaller animals (cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, etc.) must be caged while in the Riverfront Center, except during the photo session.
The vendor fair will offer a variety of gift-giving selections. Among the vendors participating are Junell Realty, Thirty-one, Frankie’s Friends, Paparazzi Accessories, Lisa Ann’s Pet Gifts, Benson’s Pet Center, Mary Kay, Sister’s Gifts ,and Kris’ Unique Lamps.
The event will also include a MCSPCA holiday bake shop. The MCSPCA also will have gift certificates for sale for holiday giving, which may be used toward a pet adoption, the Prevent a Litter cat spay/neuter program, microchips, and nail-clipping.

The Montgomery County SPCA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of homeless, abandoned, neglected and abused animals in the Montgomery County area.
