Berkshire Fire Department to hold annual roast beef dinner
GLOVERSVILLE — The Berkshire Fire Department announces its annual roast beef dinner, Dec. 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. Berkshire has been doing this annual dinner for over 30 years but this is the first time to hold it in December.
With so many fall dinners happening in the community, the membership decided that they would try something a little different this year, a Christmas themed night.
Along with their marinated roast beef and all the sides to go with it, Santa Claus will be on hand. He will be there to take photos with anyone who would like a photo with Santa and the department will also have gifts for each child at the dinner.
Having Santa at an event this time of year is a great way to have a nice “family” dinner atmosphere for families who are looking for some place to take their children to dinner and have something there for them, as well, according to a news release.
The dinner is served family-style so even if diners don’t have any young children, it’s a place to come, eat and maybe make a new friend or two.
Tickets price are $12 for adults, $6 for children 6 to 12, 5 and younger are free.
Tickets are available pre-sale and at the door that evening.
The Berkshire Fire Department is located at 320 Steele Ave. Ext, just outside the city.
