Services to be held in historic church
ST. JOHNSVILLE — The congregation of St. John’s Reformed Church will be hosting services on Aug. 20 at the historic Indian Castle Church. The 10:30 a.m. worship will be led by the Rev. Thomas Flander, Jr. Music will be provided by Merrill Rockwell. There will be a time of refreshments and fellowship following the service.
Located on Route 5S, east of Little Falls, Indian Castle Church was erected in 1769 by Sir William Johnson, British Superintendent of Indian Affairs, as an Indian mission church for the Mohawk nation.
