Coastal Carolina University
CONWAY, S.C. — Daniel Kelleher, a sophomore majoring in political science, from Gloversville, was among 2,253 students at Coastal Carolina University who made the fall 2016 dean’s list.
BATAVIA — Rachael Green, a resident of Gloversville, was among the 312 students named to Genesee’s dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute
WORCESTER, Mass. — The following local residents were among 1,424 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute named to the university’s dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2016 semester:
Kathleen Peter of Esperance, is a member of the class of 2020, majoring in biomedical engineering;
Julia White of Amsterdam is a member of the class of 2018, majoring in mechanical engineering.
COBLESKILL — Adam James Caputo, the son of James and Doreen Caputo of Johnstown, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2016 term at the State University of New York at Cobleskill.
Caputo, who is a 2014 graduate of Johnstown High School, is a junior in the financial services bachelor degree program.
UTICA — Kiernan Briggs, the son of Lynn and David Briggs of Fort Plain, was named to the dean’s list at Utica College for the fall 2016 semester.
Briggs is a 2015 graduate of Fort Plain Central School and currently a sophomore mathematics major.
Two area students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester: Timothy J. Javarone of Gloversville and Raymond Daniel Nellis of Johnstown.
Paul Smith’s College
PAUL SMITHS — The following students were named to the dean’s list during the fall semester for an average of 3.3 or higher. They are Alec Johnson of Long Lake, a major in hotel, resort and tourism management; Jaclyn Miller, a major in fisheries and wildlife sciences, and Zoe Plant, a major in environmental sciences, both of Canajoharie; Gregg Slezak of Fort Johnson, a major in forestry and also an Adirondack Scholar, with a cumulative average of at least 3.8; and Taylor Wells of Indian Lake, a major in natural resources management and policy.
Russell Sage College
TROY — Kiera Nicole Davis, daughter of Teresia and Eric Davis, was named to the dean’s list for the 2016 fall semester. Davis is a Mayfield Central School District 2014 graduate and is a senior in the musical theater program.
WORCESTER, Mass. – Emily Brown of Palatine Bridge was named to the Becker College dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester. Brown is pursing a bachelor of science degree in veterinary science.
Beta Beta Beta National Honor Society
ELMIRA — Alexandra Krohn of Hagaman was one of more than 30 students who were inducted into the Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society during a ceremony recently held in Peterson Chapel.
Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta) has three major objectives: to promote scholarship in the biological sciences; to promote the dissemination of biological knowledge; and to encourage research. The symbols of the honor society are the key and coat of arms. The key represents wisdom as well as life on and in the ground, in the air, and in the water. The coat of arms represents known and unknown scientific truths. The motto is Blay’-pay-een Bah’-seen Bee’oo which means, “to see the foundation of life.”
Beta Beta Beta was founded in 1922 by Dr. Frank G. Brooks, and the Elmira College Eta Sigma Chapter was founded in 1960.
Bismark State College
BISMARCK, ND — Deana Senzio, Gloversville, graduated from Bismarck State College with an associate in science degree in electric power technology in fall 2016. Fall graduates are eligible to walk in BSC’s commencement ceremony on May 12.
ONEONTA — The following area students graduated from SUNY Oneonta in December: Veronica O’Brien of Canajoharie, with a bachelor’s degree in science in adolescence education: English;
Shauna Sebastian of Canajoharie, a bachelro’s of science in childhood education, agreed one to six;
Serena Soto of Fort Plain, a bachelor’s of science in psychology; and
Cassandra Swart of Johnstown, a bachelor’s of science in biology.
Southern Vermont College
WOODFORD, VT. — Connor Pingitore of Amsterdam was named to the provost’s list for the fall semester for earning a grade-point average of 3.5 or greater at Southern Vermont College.
