Both days also include wagon rides, the Utica Zoomobile, a magic performance by Jim Snack, Tri County Old Time Engine display, games, food vendors and a garage sale, a news release said.

In addition, the archeological association will have a display of Native American artifacts for visitors to view and handle.

Various community organizations will participate, including the Amsterdam Library, which will do a craft project with children. The Fort Hunter Library, the Montgomery Sheriff’s Department, the Girl Scouts, the Mohawk River Basin Program, the SPCA and Forever Greyhound Adoptions will be involved.

On July 11, bluegrass band Three Quarter North and Cosby Gibson and Tom Staudle will perform. Cosby and Tom will also offer a music workshop after their performance. On July 12, in addition to the weekend-long events, the program will feature the music of Annie and the Hedonists. The Gottier Family Oxen Team will give demonstrations. The Price Chopper Bounce House and Orapello’s pizza are planned.

The festival is part of an Art and History Weekend, which includes Johnson Hall’s Market Fair and the Buck Moon Arts Festival at Fulton-Montgomery Community College. There will be an Art and History Geocache Challenge with geocaches at all three locations, and there will be a shuttle traveling between the three events. Visitors will receive a passbook.
