Pitkin to be featured at Micropolis

GLOVERSVILLE – Artist Corey Pitkin will be the featured guest at Micropolis Gallery from Wednesday through Feb. 28.

The exhibit will include never-before-seen and existing works, including “Treasures Within,” winner of both First Place in Oils and the People’s Choice awards at last year’s annual Hagaman Autumn Art Show, a news release said. A reception with the artist will be held at the gallery Jan. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Pitkin, a native of Athol, Warren County, is a predominantly self-taught artist specializing in figurative and portraiture paintings in oil and pastel. He is a member of several local and national arts organizations, including the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network, the Oakroom Artists, the Oil Painters of America and the Pastel Society of America. He offers portraiture workshops across the north country and Capital District, with upcoming winter classes at the Saratoga Arts Center.
