The Saucy Italian has opened at its new location at 22 N. Market St. in Johnstown and the Chamber held a ribbon cutting to celebrate. The Saucy Italian started in a food truck located on Route 5 in Fonda. Since opening the restaurant owner Annette Cavallaro has expanded the menu. She now has a Bake Shop where she makes homemade cannoli shells and cannoli, artisan and Italian breads, homemade cinnamon rolls, cheesecakes and more. She also offers a coffee and tea menu with cappuccino and espresso. They continue to offer their popular menu which features homemade soups and sauces. The Saucy Italian is having a Valentine’s Day Dinner on 2/14 with candlelight and music and a special menu. Closed Tuesdays, they are open at 11:30 except for Sunday Brunch that is served 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
