“Close Your Eyes,” the new album from local indie-Americana group Blue Ranger, starts with the hushed tones of “Kokomo Please,” a delicate and hazy song, before shifting to lusher territory on the ambient title track and “Step Line.” The album’s first single, “Step Line” is a subtle but hopeful love song about the promise and stress of a new relationship.
