Honor Vietnam Veterans Day at The Empire State Aerosciences Museum

The Empire State Aerosciences Museum in Glenville will be hosting its Vietnam Veterans Day, this Friday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free admission for all veterans. The Empire State Aerosciences Museum (ESAM) invites you to mark this day with a tour of their Vietnam era hunter/killer team aircraft. The OH-6A Loach scout helicopter and the UH-1M gunship both served in the conflict and will be open for you to climb in and inspect. Don't forget to see several other aircraft from this era on display in the Air Park. At 1 p.m., the Schenectady Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will present a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin Presentation and Surviving Spouse Pin Presentation. "A Grateful Nation Thanks and Honors You". Light refreshments will be served.

  • Snow Drag is back at Royal Mountain at Caroga Lake this Friday. Signups are from 4-6 p.m. General admission is $15. Test passes begin at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. at 3072 RT-10 in Johnstown.
  • Storytime with Mary at the Canajoharie Library this Friday. Come to the Great Hall of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library for this week’s Storytime, and have fun with scarves, egg shakers, songs and stories. This free weekly event starts at 11 a.m. After story time there will be a craft or activity for the children to enjoy.
