Derwin — Green
Rachel Maddy Derwin, the daughter of Timothy and Melissa Derwin of Johnstown, was united in marriage to Daniel Paul Green, the son of Paul and Mary Green of Avon Lake, Ohio, at 1 p.m. Nov. 28.
The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church, Amsterdam. The Rev. Damian Ezeani and the Rev. Ronald Wearsch, both of Cleveland, Ohio, officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.
The matron of honor was Jessica Stock and the maid of honor was Gretchen Derwin, both of Johnstown, sisters of the bride. The bridal attendants were Bridget, Claire and Monica Green, sisters of the bridegroom. The flower girls were Elizabeth and Gabrielle Papesch, cousins of the bridegroom
The best man was Michael Rogge. The ushers were Jason Brown, Nick Cramer, Andrew Sopko and William Stock. The ringbearer was Nicholas Papesch, cousin of the bridegroom.
A reception for 120 guests took place at the River Stone Manor.
A wedding trip took place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The couple resides in Columbus, Ohio.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 2011 graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo, Livingston County, with a master’s degree from Hamline University, Minneapolis, Minn. She teaches algebra and technology.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Avon Lake High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Akron, Ohio. He is a preparedness grants specialist with the Ohio Emergency Management Agency.
