Kristina and Walter Karas

Kristina Costello, the daughter of Paula Costello of Gloversville and Robert Costello of Johnstown, was united in marriage to Walter Karas, the son of Halina and Joseph Karas of Cohoes, Albany County, at 6 p.m. July 25.

The ceremony took place at Pine Lake. Perth Town Justice Wayne McNeil officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Megan Lauria of Gloversville, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Caprice Ambrosino of Gloversville and Amber Lauria of Johnstown, cousins of the bride; and Lindsay Wilson of Gloversville. The flower girl was Lauria Subik of Gloversville, cousin.

The best man was Stan Karas of Latham, Albany County, brother of the bridegroom. The ushers were Andy Karas of Cohoes, brother of the bridegroom; Greg Costello of Gloversville, brother of the bride; and Bill Iley of Fonda. The ringbearer was AJ Karas of Cohoes and Aiden Karas of Latham, nephews of the bridegroom.

A reception for 100 guests took place at Pine Lake.

A wedding trip is being planned for Daytona Beach, Florida in 2016. The couple resides in Gloversville.

The bride is a graduate of Mayfield High School and is employed at Nathan Littauer Hospital.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Troy, Rensselaer County. He is employed at Advance Auto Parts.
