Taryn Cooper, the daughter of Robert and Sheryda Cooper of Gloversville, was untied in marriage to Joseph DeRubertis, the son of Bernard and Julianne DeRubertis of Brunswick, Rensselaer County, at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26.
The ceremony took place at St. Joseph’s Church, Troy, Rensselaer County. The Rev. James Spenard of St. Augustine’s Church, Troy, officiated.
The bride was escorted by both her father and mother.
The matron of honor was Kim Caldwell of Elmira, Chemung County. The maid of honor was Sierra Derby of Elmira. The man of honor was Joshua Norman of France. The bridesmaids were Samatha Gmuer of Carmel, Putna County, and Rebecca DeRubertis of Brunswick, sister of the bridegroom.
The best man was Steve DeRubertis of Brunswick, brother of the bridegroom. The ushers were Dominic DeRubertis of Rensselaer, Michael FitzGibbon of Colonie, Albany County, both cousins of the bridegroom; and Robert Edge of Cohoes, Albany County.
A reception for 130 guests took place at The State Room, Albany.
A wedding trip took place in Paris, France, and Rome, Italy, in October. The couple resides in Cohoes.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Mayfield High School and a 2011 graduate of the University at Albany. She is a software programmer with the State University of New York Systems – Administration.
The bridegroom is a 2011 graduate of the University at Albany. He is a software engineer at Precision Valve and Automation.
