Student car wash at the Senior Center

GLOVERSVILLE — The following is for the Senior Citizen Service Center of Gloversville and Fulton County, 53 Church St.

Today: 50-55 Plus Club meeting and activities, 1 p.m.

Tuesday: Tuesday Breakfast Program and coffee hour — $3 donation (scrambled eggs, toast, sausages, fruit), 9:30 a.m.; Gloversville Animal Shelter meeting, 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Wednesday Noontime Vittles Program — $3 donation (homemade goulash, hot bread, steamed peas, fruit, homemade peanut butter cookies), and Workforce Solution students ice cream bake sale for a $2 donation, receive a serving of ice cream plus a treat of choice, both at noon.

Thursday: Workforce Solution student car wash and car vacuuming event for $7 donation, the students will wash and vacuum a car or small truck, 9 a.m. to noon; coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; free bread pass out, 10 a.m.

Friday: Coffee hour, 9:30 a.m.; Writers Circle, 11 a.m.

Saturday: Breakfast Nook Program — $3 donation (hot scrambled eggs with cheese, toast, homemade pumpkin bread, breakfast kielbasa, fresh fruit, 9 a.m.; Breakfast Nook open mic show, 10 a.m.

Aug. 27: Open art class, 9 a.m.; free bread pass out and coffee hour, both 9:30 a.m.

The center needs the following.

∫ The center needs volunteers for office, planning events, activities and helping in the kitchen with meals. All ages are welcome. Anyone interested in volunteering for a few hours a day, week or month can stop by or call the center for further details.

∫ The food pantry is low and the center seeks new non-perishable food items for area seniors.
