Turning Stone trip planned for April 17 for Ida McGinnis Club

GLOVERSVILLE — The Ida L. McGinnis Club meeting was opened by President Jeannie McDuffie.

The opening song was “Peter Cottontail” was led by Sandy Yacobucci. The devotions were led by Chaplain Lucy Ostrander. “The Lord’s Prayer” and the Pledge of Allegiance were led by McDuffie.

The first verse of “America” was led by Yacobucci.

Hi to Neighbors took place. There were 35 present.

The reports of the secretary and treasurer were accepted as read.

The sunshine report: Several cards were sent to members in the hospital or nursing homes.

Carol Lowrey suggested the club have a late Easter hat parade next Tuesday. The motion carried.

The 50-50 winners were Arla Fonda, Millie Garguilo and Helen Platt.

The April refreshments will be by Jerene Atty, Mary King, Jeri Beekman and Platt.

At the next meeting, the club will elect a nominating committee for new officers.
